Z button never worked

This is the 8th product I’ve purchased and 2nd in a row that didn’t work properly right out the box. The other 6 work amazing. The Z button was non-responsive even after and updates. Even tried to solder another in its place and still the same result. Really frustrating because reporting my 1st ps1 controller mod to maker for me nowhere and out the $25

Amazing mod

Super easy to install. The new analog mod is just so much better. After installing it I was able to sync it up to my switch without issues and it was recognized as an N64 controller! I still havent tried it on PC or Steam Deck but it works perfect on switch.

Great retro n64 controller

I have for of these controllers, easy build and reliable. They perform as well if not better than the original controllers with no noticable lag. There was no setup needed once the controllers were built.

I want to love this — but it’s lacking in comparison

The kit itself is of great quality — exactly what I’d expect from 8bitdo. Goes together cleanly, and the new updated stick feels great. Using it with an atomic purple controller looks fantastic.

But I bought this a substitute to the NSO n64 controller to use with wireless receiver with my original n64. I wanted to keep my original controller shell, and have another wireless option. But the negatives — it pairs poorly in switch mode to original n64 with wireless receiver; the button mapping fails after reboot — and there is no option for rumble support. Switching to D mode retains buttons, but no Rumble… come on.

The NSO controller does what this can’t.
